Curzon Capital Limited is a London-based alternative investment adviser dedicated to structuring and distributing innovative, tax-efficient investment products primarily for promotion through the UK IFA community.

In April 2010 we launched the Discretionary Option Management Programme with Optional Capital Protection. "Curzon Options" comprise a stockbroker managed account containing an allocation to a discretionary options trading programme and, if selected, an allocation to corporate bonds issued by UK high street banks. The combination of these two investments provide the prospect of high returns through the selective writing of put and call options on selected entities, together with the potential for capital protection afforded by an allocation to a highly-rated UK bank bond maturing in around 5 years time at which point it should repay an amount equivalent to the chosen level of capital protection.

We are currently advising on a private placing of shares in Trading Property Management Ltd – an exciting new business trading in discounted UK residential property. The placing aims to raise £8 million and closes on 3 July 2010.

We are also advising on a private placing of shares in a series of bio-tech companies ("SPVs") raising funds to finance the human trials of an innovative drug for the treatment for Type 2 Diabetes. Each SPV will look to raise £8 million to co-finance the clinical trials and will own the exploitation rights to a particular territory (N. America, Europe and ROW). In 2009 the market for T2D treatments was estimated to be worth US$21.9 billion. The placing closes on 3 July 2010 and the results of the testing will be known by Q1 2011 at which point the SPVs will either be sold for a significant profit multiple, or (if the trials are unsuccessful) they will have negligible value and be liquidated.
